Notes: 1992 remake of the famous shoujo manga from the 70’s. To be honest, this movie was made for the fans of the series, as attempting to compress 9 manga volumes/144 TV episodes into half an hour is inherently not a good idea. J Candy Candy is the story of an orphan American girl named Candice White (“Candy”) in the early 1900s, who is adopted by a wealthy family, but not as a child – as a servant. By the way, this movie is not an exact remake of the original, A LOT of stuff is different the original.
